Vineyard

The vineyard sits on a mainly east/south east orientation and the vines are trained according to the Guyot method. The start of 2016 was characterised by mild temperatures and low rainfall, and temperatures from mid-February and throughout March were well below average for the time of year, and there was abundant rainfall resulting in a delay in vegetative growth. Ripening took place gradually, with bright, dry days and temperatures that were sufficiently high

Viticulture

The vineyard sits on a mainly east/south east exposure. The vines are trained according to the Guyot method. The vines are thinned during the summer months to control the health and vigour of the vine. The grapes are manually harvested at at the end of August

13 - 14 days of maceration with the skins in steel tanks, with a soft shower system of wetting the cap at temperatures between 27°C and 32°C. Malolactic fermentation in steel tanks. Aged for 24 months is large oak casks
