Chateau Bastor Lamontagne

“Nil sine Fide”, the Château motto recalls the noble past of Chateau Bastor-Lamontagne. Indeed, the property belonged to the royal estates until 1711. In the 19th century, Mr Amédée Larrieu, who was the owner of Chateau Haut Brion in Pessac, purchased Bastor-Lamontagne. Since 2018 the Helfrich family, the new owners, have been writing a new page in the history of this great wine. The Château is located in Preignac, in one of the five communes of the Sauternes Appellation and extends over 56 hectares in one single plot. The vineyard has been certified Organic since the 2016 vintage.
