The vineyards of Picpoul de Pinet surround the Bassin de Thau (Thau Lagoon) on the sunny south coast of France, close to Montpellier. The climate here provides the perfect growing conditions for Piquepoul Blanc – long, hot, dry, sunny Summer days (the sea breezes moderate the temperature to ensure the grapes don’t over-ripen) and cooler nights (the Lagoon protects the land from sharp temperature fluctuations).
